2014 SRE Project

Modeling Transmission and Control of Bovine Respiratory Disease

photo. Bovine respiratory disease is the most common and costly disease affecting beef cattle industry. In this project, we will investigate how to use real-time high-resolution position data to generate animal contact networks and we will integrate the contact networks with simulation models to understand how respiratory diseases are transmitted among cattle and to investigate control strategies.
