Undergraduate Research Conference at the Interface of Biology and Mathematics

Location: University of Tennessee Conference Center - Knoxville, TN

Objectives: The third annual undergraduate research conference provided opportunities for undergraduates to present their research at the interface of biology and mathematics. Student talks and posters were featured as well as a panel discussion on career opportunities. Faculty and students were invited to attend. Middle and high school teachers were also invited to attend.

Plenary speaker:   Dr. J. Carl Panetta, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Graduate School Showcase: A small graduate school showcase was also featured at the conference. Faculty attending were welcome to advertise their graduate programs by bringing literature and talking to students.
