Undergraduate Research Conference at the Interface of Biology and Mathematics

The conference begins at 1:30 pm Friday, Nov. 19, and ends at 4:30 pm Saturday, Nov. 20.
Location: University of Tennessee Conference Center - Knoxville, TN
Objectives: The second annual undergraduate research conference will provide opportunities for undergraduates to present their research at the interface of biology and mathematics. Student talks and posters will be featured as well as a panel discussion on career opportunities.
Plenary speaker: Dr. Abdul-Aziz Yakubu, Professor and Chair of the Department of Mathematics, Howard University.
Faculty and students are invited to attend. Middle and high school teachers are also invited to attend.
NIMBioS Funding: The deadline for requesting NIMBioS funding for lodging and registration was October 1. If you requested funding, do not register for the conference until you have been contacted by NIMBioS about the status of your funding request.
Lodging: Individuals whose lodging is not being paid by NIMBioS should contact the Holiday Inn, Knoxville at the Convention Center, 525 Henley Street, Knoxville TN 37902, to make the reservations. Rooms are being held in an NIMBioS block until Nov. 1. The room rate is $84. Phone 865-522-2800.
