College Students and Faculty
REU program
NIMBioS sponsors Research Experiences for Undergraduates each summer.
Undergraduate majors in math, biology, and related fields live on the University of Tennessee campus for 8 weeks and work in teams with UTK professors on research projects at the interface of mathematics and biology. In some years, veterinary students (DVM or VMD) also participate as part of the Research Experiences for Veterinary Students program.
Undergraduate Research Conference
NIMBioS organizes and hosts an annual Undergraduate Research Conference
at the Interface of Biology and Mathematics each Fall. Faculty and
Minority Serving Institution partners and high school teachers are
invited to see the research of these undergraduates.
